How To Get Eldegoss in Pokemon GO?
There’s no shortcut to getting Eldegoss. First, you need Gossifleur. Then, you’ll need 50 Gossifleur Candy to evolve it. The good news? There are several ways to collect Gossifleur during the Spring into Spring event. Here’s how.
Wild Encounter
Gossifleur will appear more frequently in the wild between April 9 and April 14, 2025. It’s a limited window, so keep your app open while you’re out. Look for grass patches or areas with active Lure Modules. Since it’s part of the event’s boosted spawns, you should see it often enough if you play consistently. Use Pinap Berries to collect more Candy per catch.

5 km Egg Hatching
You can hatch Gossifleur from 5 km Eggs during this event. With the bonus of halved hatch distance, this is a practical method if you’re walking regularly. Place your Eggs into Incubators during the event window to make full use of the distance reduction. Pair it with the 2× Candy bonus to build up enough for evolution faster.
Field Research Task Rewards
Special event tasks can lead to a Gossifleur encounter. Spin PokeStops to collect Field Research tasks, and keep an eye on which ones reward encounters. Completing these will also net you items like Great Balls and Stardust. If you prefer a more structured play style, this path fits well.
Paid Timed Research Rewards
There’s an optional paid Timed Research available during this event. If you decide to get it, you’ll gain access to tasks that reward XP, items, and encounters—including Gossifleur. This path is time-sensitive and must be completed before April 14 at 8:00 p.m. local time. The tasks won’t stay past that point, so if you go this route, complete them early.
PokeStop Showcases and Collection Challenges
Collection Challenges related to this event also provide a shot at encountering Gossifleur. To access them, complete sets of event-themed Pokemon catches. If you enjoy filling out mini checklists, these are worth checking. You may also spot PokéStop Showcases. Some of them will focus on Gossifleur, giving you another way to encounter it during the event.

Can Eldegoss Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
As of now, neither Gossifleur nor Eldegoss can be Shiny in Pokemon GO. While other Pokémon featured during the Spring into Spring event do have their Shiny forms available, Gossifleur is not among them. It’s their first appearance in the game, and debut Pokémon are rarely Shiny from the start.
Focus instead on collecting enough Candy and enjoying the increased spawn rate. If a Shiny release happens later, you’ll already be well-prepared with extra Gossifleur Candy.
