As John Cena enters his retirement tour in 2025, you get to play through and recreate iconic moments from The Franchise’s career in WWE 2K25. John Cena is one of the top superstars in the game, boasting a rating of 94, even this late into his career. Having a rating that high makes Cena a formidable opponent to go up against, but what truly sets him apart from the competition is his varied moveset.

John Cena can pull off a hurricanrana, top-rope leg drop, suplex, sunset flip, stunner, and so much more. To finish his match, Cena brings in a multitude of AAs, but the one you really want to use is the Double AA. For those that don’t remember, the Double AA was the move John Cena pulled out to beat AJ Styles for his 16th WWE Championship in 2017. The move was only used once and has never been seen again, yet its iconic status brings it right into his arsenal in WWE 2K25.

The Double AA sees Cena pick an opponent up for the regular AA and land the move. Instead of letting go, Cena latches onto the arm, does a front roll, and then picks the opponent back up for a second AA. Two AA in a row are a guaranteed finish, and this is one of Cena’s strongest moves. If you’re looking to dispose of your opponent for good, you need to use the Double AA. If you’re unsure of how to use the move, we’re here to help.

The Double AA is one of John Cena’s Super Finishers, meaning you can’t just use it anytime you wish. You need to stack up three Finisher bars to use the move. Stacking up three bars is a long process and requires you to deal ample damage to the opponents. A faster way would be to fill out the Signature meter and perform Signature moves. Once you have your three Finisher bars, follow the steps below to perform the Double AA as John Cena:

  • Approach your opponent while they’re standing and facing you.
  • You will then get the prompt to hit your Super Finisher. Press Space + K on PC, RT + A on Xbox, and R2 + X on PlayStation to perform the Double AA.
  • The move has multiple reversal windows, but don’t worry, as being countered will only put you short of one Finisher bar.
