In this Blue Prince guide, we shall go over how room ranks, what they are, and how to increase them in the game.

Blue Prince drops you into a massive mansion with one objective: find Room 46, and you can keep this property all to yourself. The task seems simple enough, but you are completely blindsided by the fact that the manor shifts daily. Rooms change, relocate, and sometimes even seemingly disappear.
As you make your way through this labyrinth in search of Room 46, you will come across several rooms. Often, when entering the room, you will notice the room’s name on the bottom right corner of your screen. Another rather peculiar thing you’ll notice right underneath the name is a “rank.” What is this rank? What does it mean? Why is it slowly increasing? You may find yourself asking these questions, but the game seems hellbent on not answering them.
If you’re someone confused by the room ranks and wish to know more about this feature or simply want to increase these ranks, we’re here to help. In this Blue Prince guide, we shall go over how to increase room ranks in the game.

What Are Room Ranks in Blue Prince
As stated earlier, room ranks are the numbers displayed on the bottom right corner of your screen whenever you enter a room. A room’s rank is an indicator of your in-game progress, meaning that the higher your rank number is, the deeper you are in the house. For instance, entering the house and exploring the rooms near the entrance halls show you rooms worth rank 1. These rooms are easily accessible and, hence, are at the lowest rank. These ranks go all the way up to rank 9, where you’re closest to finding the antechamber and the mysterious Room 49 itself.

How To Increase Room Ranks in Blue Prince
You increase the room ranks by working your way up the house. The higher you go, the more you rank up, and you can do so up to rank 9. Adding rows is, therefore, essential to progress and rank up. For instance, the row right above the Entrance Hall is rank 2, the one above that is rank 3, and so on, all the way to rank 9 and the Antechamber. As simple as it may seem to shoot straight up for the higher floors, it is important to build out paths below before you do so. This protects you and gives you alternate routes in case you hit a dead-end.
