Season 2 of Marvel Rivals brought a new Seasonal Event with it. There are new challenges and rewards to claim, but most importantly, the developer has introduced a new concept when it comes to claiming rewards under the Seasonal Event. In both Season 0 and Season 1, the Events were simple. Players would complete challenges in the Seasonal Events and get rewards for them individually, as well as upon completing the entire set. For Season 2, it’s a bit different.

Line System in Season 2 of Marvel Rivals

Unlike the past Seasonal Events, the Cerebro Database does not give rewards for completing each mission. Instead, it operates on a “line system”. This means that players will have to complete the missions in a specific pattern to earn these rewards. If completed in time, they will also be eligible for a bonus reward at the end. This system, however, can be slightly confusing.

There are four sets in the Cerebro Database in Season 2.0. The first one includes data on Emma Frost and contains missions related to her. The developer has given the players a total of nine missions. They all vary, with certain tasks including winning a certain number of matches, taking and dealing damage.

Players need to complete three missions in a row/column, vertically/horizontally/diagonally, to progress to the next Line Reward. They can only create three lines to receive all rewards. Completing the challenge within a limited time grants a special reward that can vary for each set. For the first Emma Frost set, players will get 75 Units for free upon completing all the missions.

Moreover, a new lore piece will unravel for the character highlighted in each set. Since the first one was about Emma Frost, the latest Vanguard in Marvel Rivals, completing all the missions made the mission grid disappear, replaced by the lore as shown in the image above.

We are still waiting for more missions that will seemingly cover Wolverine, Black Panther, and Namor in this particular order. The missions will reveal themselves when their respective countdowns have ended. After completing all the sets, players will be eligible for the Mantis’ Flora Maiden costume.
