Night hunts in Beaks aren’t meant for the unprepared. Some birds refuse to show up during the day, forcing players to navigate through the dark in search of rare sightings.

That’s where Night Vision goggles come in. Instead of stumbling blindly around Quill Lake, you can spot movement in the shadows and track birds with ease. These goggles aren’t handed out for free though, you’ll need to know exactly where to go, who to talk to, and how much cash to bring.

To get Night Vision goggles in Beaks, start by going to Quill Lake. Once there, look for Silverstone Camp, a small setup filled with tents and barrels. This is the location where you’ll find the gear. Once you reach the camp, go right and spot a large tent that has a pair of goggles displayed on its roof. This tent marks the spot where the Cloaker NPC can be found.

Approach the Cloaker NPC and interact with him. You’ll see an option to purchase the Night Vision goggles for $7500 cash. Make sure you have the amount ready, as there’s no alternative way to earn or unlock them. After completing the purchase, the goggles will be automatically added to your inventory.

Now, open your inventory and locate the goggles. If your quick bar is already full, you’ll need to manually drag the goggles to an empty hotbar slot. Once assigned, press the key tied to that slot to activate Night Vision whenever needed.

Night Vision goggles work well for basic nighttime tracking, especially when you’re hunting birds that only appear after sunset. However, if you want a stronger detection ability, consider buying Thermal Vision goggles from the same NPC. They cost more but provide improved clarity by detecting heat, making it easier to find birds in dense or pitch-black areas.

Keep in mind, these are permanent items once purchased. You don’t need to buy them again, and they’ll stay in your inventory unless removed. Use them smartly during your late-night runs, and you’ll start catching birds that others miss in the dark.
