Following its announcement earlier in the year, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti launched to mixed reception in April 2025. Yet, the card has already sold out before benchmarking results could be released. Built on Unreal Engine 5, Black Myth: Wukong is one of the most GPU-taxing games ever made.

The game is also known to perform well on Nvidia cards, with DLSS outclassing FSR. Powered by Blackwell architecture, the RTX 5060 Ti features advanced DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation technology and GDDR7 memory that should work wonders in a performance-intensive game like Black Myth: Wukong.

Unfortunately, the RTX 5060 Ti does not seem to have an edge in Black Myth: Wukong with its latest features, and its performance is just below that of an RTX 4070. However, that does not mean the card cannot provide a smooth gaming experience for the title. We recommend playing the game at 1440p with very high settings using DLSS and frame generation for the best experience.

Settings for 1440p

The RTX 5060 Ti is best suited to running Black Myth: Wukong at 1440p, with DLSS, frame generation, and ray tracing enabled. If you play without upscaling and frame generation, the game will run at around 20 FPS at max settings. The following settings are aimed at maintaining over 60 FPS during gameplay:

  • View Distance: Cinematic
  • Anti-aliasing: Cinematic
  • Post-processing: Cinematic
  • Shadow Quality: Cinematic
  • Texture Quality: Cinematic
  • Reflection Quality: Cinematic
  • Reflected Shadows: Cinematic
  • Global Illumination: Cinematic
  • Visual Effects: Cinematic
  • Vegetation Quality: Cinematic
  • Full Ray Tracing: On
  • Ray Tracing Level: Medium
  • Super Resolution: 65
  • Super Resolution Sampling: DLSS
  • Frame Generation: On
  • V-Sync: Off

If you experience frequent framerate drops or are using the 8 GB RTX 5060 Ti, turn Ray Tracing off, lower Shadow Quality to High, and Visual Effects to Medium. At 1440p and very high settings, the game uses around 8 GB of VRAM, which allows the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB to run the game nearly as well as its 16 GB variant.

Settings for 1080p

At 1080p, the RTX 5060 Ti achieves around 30 FPS in Black Myth: Wukong at max settings without the assistance of upscaling and frame generation. Here are our settings for the smoothest 1080p experience in the game with very high settings:

  • View Distance: Cinematic
  • Anti-aliasing: Cinematic
  • Post-processing: Cinematic
  • Shadow Quality: Cinematic
  • Texture Quality: Cinematic
  • Reflection Quality: Cinematic
  • Reflected Shadows: Cinematic
  • Global Illumination: Cinematic
  • Visual Effects: Cinematic
  • Vegetation Quality: Cinematic
  • Full Ray Tracing: On
  • Ray Tracing Level: Very High
  • Super Resolution: 65
  • Super Resolution Sampling: DLSS
  • Frame Generation: On
  • V-Sync: Off
