Onyx Tear in V Rising is a crucial material because of its use in upgrading gear and acquiring Legendary Weapons.
V Rising has a lot of different materials and items, but Onyx Tears are one of the most important ones. This particular item is crucial when it comes to upgrading your character’s gear, and it is an important component in the process of restoring shattered Legendary Weapons.
In a survival RPG like V Rising, you are only as strong as your equipment and weapons, and for that, players will need Onyx Tears. With that in mind, in this article, we will tell you how you can get your hands on this item in the game and use it.
How To Acquire Onyx Tear in V Rising
Players can follow two different paths to get their hands on Onyx Tear. First, it is possible to get Onyx Tears by defeating level 74 or higher enemies. Usually, these kinds of NPCs drop Onyx Tears when they die. On the other hand, if you feel like farming the item this way is too time-consuming and bothersome, then you can also craft Onyx Tears in V Rising in another way. However, to do that, you will need to unlock its recipe by beating Lord Styx the Night Champion, first.
If you choose the second path mentioned, then you will be able to find Lord Styx patrolling near the Cursed Forest. He is a level 80 blood boss. So we highly recommend that you prepare and gear up accordingly because a small mistake against the Night Champion might prove to be fatal. After you have defeated him, you will get the Bat form, a Blood Key, and the Onyx Tear Recipe.
How To Craft Onyx Tear in V Rising
After defeating Lord Styx, the Night Champion, and unlocking the recipe, you will have to use an Anvil to craft the Onyx Tears. It requires 120 Blood Crystals, three power cores, three Dark Silver Ingots, and three Gold Ingots.
Once you have crafted an Onyx Tear, you will be one step closer to restoring a Legendary Weapon shard. Additionally, you will need the following ingredients to craft a Legendary Weapon:
- 3x Onyx Tears
- 1x Primal Blood Essence
- Legendary Weapon Shard
After collecting these materials, simply head over to the Ancestral Forge and restore the Legendary Shard into a weapon. You can get this shard by defeating level 75 or higher blood bosses. However, keep in mind that you will need the same amount of ingredients each time you try to craft a Legendary Weapon. So, we highly recommend that you start gathering Blood Crystals and making Charged Batteries as soon as possible, since you will need those to craft Onyx Tears.
