You can find Beatrice in a town located southeast of Dunley Farmlands. You can use the picture above to get to her exact location. She is a Level 40 boss who doesn’t attack you at all. Instead, she runs around the entire town while crying and screaming for help. Moreover, many human soldiers are stationed in the town. Here’s a list of enemies you can encounter while chasing Beatrice:

  • Guard
  • Light Militia
  • Militia Crossbows
  • Militia Longbows

Each of these normal enemies is going to be between Level 36 and 40. We recommend getting Iron weapons and the Nightstalker Set to survive for much longer. Additionally, the Militia Crossbow units are going to shoot at you using fire arrows, so we recommend making some fire resistance brews.

For spells, we recommend using any combination of ranged and teleportation spells. This is because Beatrice is going to run for the entire time, so you are not going to get any chance to hit her with melee attacks. Moreover, you should use the bow for this fight, as the range can help you a lot. Try not to get surrounded by basic enemies while fighting Beatrice.

Once you defeat Beatrice, you unlock the recipe for Loom. You are going to use the Loom a lot to craft materials needed for the next tier of armor. Defeating Beatrice is a huge upgrade that truly lets you enter the mid-game.

Beatrice in Brutal Mode

At first, you might feel bad for killing an old, helpless woman. However, Beatrice has a huge secret that she only shows to players when you play the game on Brutal Difficulty. On Brutal, Beatrice won’t run away and cry for help. She transforms into a much difficult demon form.

In this form, the townspeople and military attack Beatrice instead. So we recommend letting them finish Beatrice off while you keep your distance from her. There is no lore reason why she does this, so this is simply a method for the developers to turn the most harmless character into a real challenge in the highest difficulty.
