Microsoft has raised the price of Xbox consoles, accessories and game titles amid economic challenges. Here are all the updated quotes.
Xbox consoles, their accessories and games are well-known in the gaming community. Recently, Microsoft announced wide-spectrum price adjustments for their products like the Xbox console, games, and accessories. The new pricing structure took effect on May 1st, 2025.
As per Microsoft, the reasons behind this change in pricing are rising development costs, global economic pressures, challenges pertaining to the supply chain, and increased tariffs on electronics manufactured in China.

These changes are not limited to the U.S. consumers. Similar price adjustments have been implemented in key regions, including Europe, Australia, the U.K., and India. By implementing these increased prices, Microsoft aims to address rising costs so they can continue offering quality products.
Naturally, we expect these higher prices to affect consumer purchasing decisions, in one way or another. However, we have yet to determine exactly how much that will be. Additionally, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription rates remain unchanged.
