Creation is one of the final optional bosses that you can fight in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. It’s available in the very final act of the game, and you don’t want to approach this fight half-heartedly. You’ll need to prepare properly if you stand any chance of besting this foe. Also, you’ll need to be at or near max levels in your attributes to even survive this battle long enough to defeat Creation.
In this guide, we’ll explain just how you can defeat Creation in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, including preparations beforehand and strategies during the battle.
How To Prepare for Creation Fight in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Preparing for this fight would mean picking the party members carefully. Go with the characters that you’d normally use in difficult fights. The Creation boss battle is surely no time to start experimenting with your party. Choose the characters you think have the best equipment and attributes. Monoco might not be the best choice because he might not be up to his full potential yet, with many of his abilities still under wraps at this point. So, we’ll suggest going with Maelle, Sciel, and Verso.
These teammates make sense, as they can unleash attacks that burn Creation, which is the enemy’s weakness. At the same time, you’ll have considerable healing potential in your party with these three. You’ll need to heal often during the fight simply because you might have trouble learning Creation’s attack pattern initially, leading to significant damage to your party.

How To Defeat Creation in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The fight begins with Creation and its two Aberrations. At this point, you’ll need to dodge or parry the incoming blows. Watch out for attacks that target your entire party. Using Verso’s Paradigm Shift ability will ensure that the party’s AP gauge remains full even when dodging incoming attacks.
Your first priority in the battle is to study Creation’s attack patterns. They are staggered, which means you’ll need to pick up the correct timing when you want to parry or dodge. Both the creature’s head and tails are primed for attack, and it will switch things up to confuse you. Watch out for nuances to understand whether you’re in for a head or tail strike.
At 66% HP remaining for Creation, you’ll enter the second phase of the fight. At this point, Creation will gain shields and call in Void Orbs to aid in the battle. Try to parry Creation’s attacks at this stage to have enough AP left to break through his shields. Or, you can rely on Sciel’s Gradient Attack (if you have her in the party) to eat through the boss’s shields. Creation will repeat this process of summoning Void Orbs and gaining shields when it reaches 33% HP remaining. So, repeat the process to get through its barriers.
