Key Cards in the Solgaleo Ex Deck For Pokemon TCG Pocket

As evident from its name, the deck is based around Solgaleo. The rest of the deck is designed to get him out as fast as possible. Skarmory is another basic Pokemon used due to its high HP and potential to deal heavy damage with just one energy cost.
Skarmory is also the reason we include extra Pokemon tools in the deck. For this reason, you could also consider adding something like a Giant Cape or another copy of a Pokemon tool already mentioned.
How To Use and Basic Combos
The deck relies on placing Skarmory at the start of the battle to deal decent damage using its one-energy move. Meanwhile, you quickly evolve Cosmog into Solgaleo and stack two Steel Energy on it. This is where Rare Candy becomes extremely useful. Next, use its ability to move Solgaleo into the active zone and begin sweeping your opponent with 120 damage.
You can use cards like Lillie to regain some health in the long run. Meanwhile, Cyrus and Sabrina can be used to disrupt your opponent’s plays or drag vulnerable Pokemon into the active zone for a knockout.
Counters and Weaknesses of the Solgaleo Ex Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Solgaleo is weak against Fire-type Pokemon, which naturally makes it harder to play against other strong Fire-type decks. A particularly bad matchup for Solgaleo would be Charizard Ex (Shining Revelry).
Charizard deals 150 damage with its Steam Artillery move, which becomes 170 due to Solgaleo’s Fire weakness. With a single Red or Giovanni, Charizard has the firepower to take down this legendary Pokemon. Moreover, Pokemon like Hitmonlee and Greninja, which can attack Benched Pokemon, can also knock out Cosmog before you can evolve it.
That’s everything you need to know to build your perfect Solgaleo deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
