Revenge of the Savage Planet brings a co-op experience to the table. Here’s how to begin a journey with a friend.
Revenge of the Savage Planet allows players to enjoy co-op mechanics to make their gameplay more fun. Not only is it fun to run around with a friend in an action game, but it might also take you less time to beat the game than going at it alone. There are two ways of joining a game with a friend. You can either play together online or invite them for a couch co-op session. Don’t worry if you don’t already know how to get started with co-op because that’s what we are here to do.

Online Co-Op

Just like its predecessor, Revenge of the Savage Planet allows co-op. The details are yet to be confirmed. Nevertheless, the most likely way of entering a co-op session with a friend will be to start a new world dedicated to a co-op adventure. This means your friend may not be able to help you out in your single-player world that you started without them. When starting a co-op game in the main menu, invite the friend you want in your session and you are all set for the adventures to come. The game is out on PC, PS5, and Xbox. Luckily, it allows for cross-play. However, you may need to share a room code to initiate a cross-play co-op session. Despite joining the same server, you will need to eliminate the communication gap, which can be done by using a third-party voice chat platform like Discord.
Couch Co-Op
The couch co-op experience will be made possible through split-screen gameplay. Players who have a second controller available can play with a friend in co-op on the same monitor. The best part about couch co-op is that no internet connection is required. This feature also comes straight from Journey to the Savage Planet. One thing that players need to be aware of is that if they are using the Game Pass cloud streaming, they will need to stay connected to the internet.
