While exploring the four planets in Revenge of the Savage Planet, you will encounter a variety of hostile flora and fauna that can kill you easily. You will likely die frequently, especially during the early stages of the game. That’s why it’s important to understand exactly how the game handles death and whether you respawn at the same location where you fell.

This guide explains what happens when you die in Revenge of the Savage Planet and how death works differently in co-op mode.

If one of the many threats on the planets manages to kill you, you will respawn at the Habitat. You will lose all the resources you were carrying at the time of your death. However, you can recover them. All you need to do is return to the location where you died and search the surrounding area. While your lost resources won’t be at the exact spot where you fell, they will be located nearby.

After you respawn at the Habitat, a quest titled “I Take That Back” will automatically appear. Set it as your active quest and head toward the biome where you died. The quest marker will guide you to the region. Once there, look around for a chest containing all the resources you dropped after dying.

When you are playing with a friend, the game handles death a bit differently. If one player dies, the other can revive them within 30 seconds. If the timer expires, the downed player respawns at the Habitat. However, if the other player manages to revive them in time, the fallen player avoids death and gets a second chance. In co-op mode, if one player dies and the other stays alive, you won’t lose any resources. But if both players die, you will need to recover the lost resources in the same way as in solo play.

To avoid losing a significant amount of resources after death in Revenge of the Savage Planet, we recommend visiting the Habitat regularly. There, you can safely store your resources before heading back out into the wild, reducing the risk of losing everything if you die.
