Find every Block trainer in Oblivion Remastered to quickly level up the defensive skill and unlock powerful abilities across its ranks.

Block is a defensive combat skill in Oblivion Remastered that is often considered underrated for what it can accomplish. Blocking is fundamental for characters with melee builds and can be done using weapons, shields, and bare hands. As the skill increases, you take less damage from blocked attacks, suffer reduced fatigue loss, and stagger enemies with a counter-attacking shield bash.
Block trainers in Oblivion Remastered help players perfect this art of defense by leveling up Block a maximum of five times per character level. Spending some gold on leveling up Block at each level will allow you to quickly reach higher ranks like Journeyman or Expert for their game-changing unlocks. To do so, you’ll need to locate trainers and identify their skill ceiling on the path to Block mastery.

Block Training Quest in Oblivion Remastered

Unimposing at first glance, Andragil is a master of defense who offers Block training after level 70 upon completion of the ‘Block Training’ quest. To begin the quest, reach level 70 in Block and speak to Ambroise Canne or Lum gro-Baroth. They will point you to Andragil’s location and provide a reference. Her house is on the first floor opposite the Bravil Fighters Guild. She will ascertain your worthiness as a prospective student with an interesting test of durability.
Survive Andragil’s attacks for 40 seconds to pass the test. You can do this in the traditional manner by equipping a high AR shield, buffing your resistance, and healing periodically. To cheese the test, you can run around to avoid hits, turn invisible, paralyze Andragil with a spell, or hide in her closet. After surviving 40 seconds, Andragil agrees to train you and is available for lessons from 6 am to 10 pm.
