Virtua Fighter is slowly bringing out announcements and revealing bits of what is to come in the new installment. There is no tentative release date as such, but we are getting enough content to keep the hype lively and expectations heightened. One of the recent announcements gave us a teaser of a beloved character from the franchise.

Wolf Hawkfield in Virtua Fighter Project
Wolf Hawkfield sees himself making a triumphant return to the New Virtua Fighter Project. Not only will players get to once again play with one of the fan favorites from the franchise, but also deep-dive into the lore surrounding the character.
Compared to his last look in Virtua Fighter 5, there is a visibly stark difference. At an immediate glance, identifying the character as Wolf Hawkfield would prove to be a hard ask. His previous look had him sporting a pair of blue wrestling shorts and knee pads with some black boots. He also had a ponytail and face paint across his forehead.
In comparison, Wolf looks like a whole new person in the new game. From bulking up to a great extent with more refined muscles. He also has a full-grown beard and lets his lush ginger hair flow smoothly without restraints. The community has taken this release very well, with praises showering over the new modernized look and feel of Wolf’s character.
The trailers for the next set of characters may possibly be given the same treatment as Wolf. In this trailer, an announcer gives a fitting introduction as Wolf Hawkfield makes an appearance through all the glamour and glitter. The trailer also briefly talks about a fallout from his group leading to a controversial retirement, which shocked the world. Through the entire announcement, a lore is generated, giving us insight into what story would brew around this character.
