Krobus is a friendly monster who runs a shop in Stardew Valley. Here’s how you can meet him and unlock his shop.
Stardew Valley has a vast roster of NPCs that you can befriend and have fun with, and Krobus is one such NPC. However, he isn’t like any other character in the game. Korbus is a Shadow Brute, a monster that appears quite often in the lower depths of the Cave.
However, unlike those monsters, Krobus acts friendly towards the player and some other residents of the town. This article covers everything you must know about Krobus in Stardew Valley.

Meeting Krobus in Stardew Valley
Krobus is an NPC whom you can find in The Sewers. The path to The Sewers lies just to the right of the cemetery below the city square. However, it is locked till you get the Rusty Key, an item that you need to enter The Sewers.
You get the Rusty Key from Gunther after donating 60 items to the Stardew Museum. Once you donate the 60th item, Gunther appears on your doorstep the next day to hand you the key. In multiplayer, the host has to talk to Gunther at the museum to get the Rusty Key.
With the Rusty Key, you can now enter and exit The Sewers anytime you want. A short cutscene plays when you first enter, which serves as the introduction to Krobus. After the cutscene, you can find Krobus standing at the same spot in the sewers at all times of the day, all around the year.
Like most other NPCs, Krobus has his own heart events that players can experience. Moreover, you can invite him to live as your roommate by giving him a void ghost pendant.
Krobus’ Shop in Stardew Valley
Krobus runs a shop down in the sewers from which players can buy a lot of unique stuff. Moreover, Krobus eventually sells one of the most useful items in the game, which is the Return Scepter. The shop is open all the time, year-round, even during the festivals. Here’s what you can buy from Krobus:
