Murder Mystery 2 is quite a popular game on Roblox. It now has a user-generated variation called Murder Mystery 2 (Modded). The game is developed by @Gleeminq and has recorded over 7.4 million visits. It was first released in 2019. Despite being a modded version, the game actually retains most of the core gameplay mechanics of MM2.
For those who are new to the game, you are assigned one of three roles: Innocent, Sheriff, or Murderer. Each role has different objectives. This article will give you a beginner’s guide on how to play Murder Mystery 2 on Roblox.
How To Play in Murder Mystery 2 (Modded)
As previously mentioned, once you join the game, it will assign you one of three roles: Innocent, Sheriff, or Murderer. Here’s what you have to do for each role:
- Innocent – You spawn as an unarmed player. Your job is to survive, hide, and identify the Murderer using detective skills.
- Sheriff – The only player (besides the Murderer) who spawns with a gun, tasked with protecting the Innocents and eliminating the Murderer.
- Murderer – As the name suggests, if you spawn as a Murderer, then you have to eliminate everyone without being caught or shot by the Sheriff.
Murder Mystery 2 (Modded) Features
The modded version of MM2 has retained the core gameplay (including the roles). However, it now has additional features or changes:
- Custom Items: New weapons, knives, or cosmetics not available in the original game.
- Modified Game Modes: Variations like unique roles, altered rules, or new objectives.
- Enhanced Visuals or Maps: Custom-designed maps or graphical tweaks for a different aesthetic or gameplay feel.

How To Win?
Here’s how you can win:
Innocent – A good tip is to hide yourself. Eventually, the Murderer will try to kill the Sheriff. It is considered an easy way to win if you simply wait for the Sheriff’s gun to be down.
Sheriff – Do not stay still. It is easy to be shot if you remain stationary. Try to walk or jump around and always stay mobile. Additionally, watch for players who isolate themselves, chase others, or use modded weapons suspiciously.
Murderer – Blend in by mimicking Innocent behavior: walk casually, collect coins, or stay in groups. Avoid running directly at players unless you’re ready to strike.
