This guide explains how to get a Moon Cat in Grow a Garden from the new Night Event shop in the May 2025 update.

Grow a Garden is a popular gardening game on Roblox. One of the most useful upgrades you can get for your gardening experience is a pet. These virtual creatures add tons of utility and give you free items passively.
The Moon Cat is the newest pet in the game to get as part of the new Night Event shop. It gives you a 50% increase in crop size every 20 seconds, which is very useful. This guide explains getting a Moon Cat in Grow a Garden from the new May 2025 Night Event shop.
Grow a Garden: How To Get a Moon Cat

You can purchase a Moon Cat for 100,000,000c. It only appears in the Night Event shop, so you can either wait until it is night on your server or you can switch servers. Restarting the game puts you on a random server, so you can just quit and re-enter the game repeatedly until you find a server with night active.
If you don’t have enough currency to get the pet, harvest some crops and sell them to save up some cash. You can also use Grow a Garden codes to get some rewards and speed up the grind. Do note that the rare Blood Moon event can spawn in place of the usual Night Event, which prevents you from accessing the Night Event shop. If that happens, use the server hop trick or wait for the next night phase to kick in.
How To Use the Moon Cat
The Moon Cat is currently the best cat-type pet in the game. If you have enough in-game currency, you should get the pet immediately. If you have a level 10 Moon Cat, it is on par with some level 30 pets in the game. The cat takes a nap every 20 seconds and increases your fruit sizes by up to 50%.
The Moon Cat also has a chance of doubling any Moon-type fruit that you grow. Here are the fruits that get bonuses from the cat:
Crop Name | Growth Time | Harvests Per Plant | Selling Price |
Moon Blossom | 5 minutes | 1 | 120 |
Moon Flower | 8 minutes | 2 | 180 per harvest |
Moon Melons | 12 minutes | 1 | 300 |
Moon Mangos | 15 minutes | 3 | 150 per harvest |
The Moon Cat’s passive that increases crop size also works on the Moon fruits. It means that you can get both the size bonus and the double crop bonus from the cat.
