Windforce and Battle Armor are the two S-tier items that you should pick up as soon as possible. They make your runs easier, and you should try to get them in every run. Other items in the S-tier are just as good, but you have to pick them based on your playstyle. Epicsauce is great for melee characters, but it does not have any value for long-ranged builds.
The game is still in alpha, and you can expect more classes, items, and upgrades to be added in future updates. Some of the items might also get rebalanced, which would shake up the meta.
