A popular voice actor who played a prominent role in the original Persona 4 game might have confirmed the existence of a remake.

ATLUS released three games last year, with none of them being from their most popular franchise, the Persona series. We have gone a long time without any confirmation or rumor about a new (mainline) Persona game; however, that seems to have changed now with some news about a Persona 4 remake.
Although for now we don’t have any confirmation regarding the title or the release date of this remake. Here is what we know about the apparent confirmation of the Persona 4 Remake.
Which Voice Actor Apparently Confirmed the Persona 4 Remake?

Yuri Lowenthal took to Bluesky and talked about how he would not be reprising his role as Yosuke Hanamura, a friend of the protagonist and a member of the Investigation Team. Naturally, the first assumption that players drew from this post was regarding the existence of a Persona 4 remake. ATLUS themselves have not posted anything that would confirm a remake at this stage.
Moreover, this post has now been deleted, due to which these rumors have been further stoked. Although the original post itself was taken down after a while, fans were quick to spread images of the post elsewhere. Persona 3 Reload also made changes to its voice cast from its original cast. Fans met this new cast with mostly positive remarks.
Update: The voice actor of Chie Satonaka, Eriz Fitzgerald, has also made a post on Bluesky announcing that she will not have a part in the remake of Persona 4. This leads us to believe that a complete revamp of the voice cast might be happening.
For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake.RIP 😭😭😭😭😭😭I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her.

What Other News Do We Know About the Persona 4 Remake?
Someone registered the domain “p4re.jp” earlier this year, in March. Although we cannot be sure if this is the official domain, it follows in the footsteps of Persona 3 Reload. Time will tell whether this is the official page or not. We might see Persona 4 Remake or another Persona game announced at some of the upcoming gaming events. These include the Xbox Games Showcase and Summer Game Fest 2025.
