The new details come from the known leaker Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter), who regularly posts smartphone-related content. The Tri-Fold phone from Samsung is expected to make its debut very soon, as early as July 2025. Regarding availability, reportedly, the device is not launching globally. This is honestly quite sad to hear, because many fans around the world will be devastated to know they can’t own the latest foldable phone innovation from Samsung.

Samsung’s Tri-Fold is expected to cost between $3,000 to $3,500, according to the post. It will apparently only be available in South Korea and China. This phone is set to shatter records and be the ultimate competitor to Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate, which also features a Tri-Fold design. Speaking of the price, it is expensive. The Z Fold 6 cost $1,899 at release, and many expected that foldable phones would become more affordable over the years.

What Does the Future of Foldable Phones Look Like?

That’s definitely true, but it seems like with the release of Samsung’s Tri-Fold, tech enthusiasts should be prepared to see more foldable phones in the future. These phones are estimated to cost upwards of $3,000. It will be interesting to see whether or not the Samsung Tri-Fold does well in the markets where it is released. Many already stick with the Z Flip and actively choose to avoid the Z Fold models, which are bulkier.
