The newest Booster Pack for Pokemon TCG Pocket is named ‘Extradimensional Crisis’ and it adds several Ultra Beasts (and other Pokemon or Supporter cards) to the digital card game. Naturally, some of these stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to battles.

Although there aren’t a lot of standout meta cards in this deck by itself, some of these have great potential to get stronger in the future as well. Here are some of the best cards from the Extradimensional Crisis Booster Pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

1. Celesteela

This card immediately stands out and becomes a must-use in most Ultra Beast decks. This is due to its Ability, Ultra Thrusters. Using it, you can switch your active Ultra Beast with one of your Benched Ultra Beasts (including Celesteela) at no cost.

This can be crucial in saving the match, as you could send out another Pokemon to take the hit, and swap the two Pokemon back on the next turn, to get the finishing blow. On top of this, Celesteela has a fairly high 120 HP. This, combined with it being a Basic Pokemon, makes it very viable in any Ultra Beast deck.

2. Kartana

Will this Pokemon finally put Darkrai’s reign at the top of Ranked to an end? Although we can only theorize for now, until the next ranked ladder starts, Kartana will likely see high usage in many grass decks.

This is due to its single energy, 40 damage-dealing move. This can be combined with a lot of Grass support cards like Leafy Cape and Erika to increase its viability.

3. Guzzlord Ex

There are a lot of reasons for this card being on the list. High health? Check. Good damage? Check. Basic Pokemon? Check. Guzzlord boasts an impressive 170 HP and deals 120 damage with its Tyrannical Hole move.

Moreover, it does 30 damage with its Grindcore move, and additionally discards energy from your opponent’s Pokemon every time your coin lands on heads. This essentially means you use a Team Rocket Grunt on every attack. Therefore, this card has the potential to disrupt your enemy’s plays and simultaneously deal damage.

4. Nihilego

This card will likely be used as a staple in any Poison deck going forward. Although its moves and health are nothing to brag about, Nihilego’s main strength lies in its Ability.

More Poison does exactly as its name suggests, which is to deal more Poison damage. Normally, a poisoned Pokemon would take 10 damage every turn. However, this number increases to 20 if Nihilego is on the field. Nihilego can already be slotted into most Poison decks, and will probably be a staple in any future Poison decks as well.

5. Decidueye

You can use this Decidueye in its ex counterpart’s deck. Perhaps as an addition, or a replacement. Either way, it will give you more versatility in combat by letting you choose which Pokemon to bring out, depending on the situation.

The ability to snipe one of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon for 70 damage is nothing to scoff at. This, combined with its 130 HP and lots of Grass support cards, means this card can become strong quite easily.
