The new update introduces a mini battle pass called Combat Chests, aimed at targeting more casual players. Why casual players? Because the chest does not require you to complete any specific objectives. Plus, you can level up simply by playing the game in any mode. However, there are two versions of the Combat Chest: a free tier and a premium tier. So, is the Premium Combat Chest worth it in Marvel Rivals?

Is the Premium Combat Chest Worth it in Marvel Rivals?

Spend more time than money on Marvel Rivals? Then the Premium Combat Chest might not be worth it, at least in terms of the standard battle pass rewards, unless you want skins that are specific to the new Combat Chest. The difference between the two tiers is that the free version has one costume, while the latter has three (including the one in the free tier).

Other than that, you get more emotes, MVP intros, and sprays, which do not significantly affect gameplay. The Premium Combat Chest costs 690 Lattice, or around $7. Another advantage you get over the free Combat Chest is that you are free to level it up at any time, without the time restrictions the free chest has until July 11, 2025. This may seem like a huge advantage at first, but considering the level cap (7,200 XP or 4 levels per day), it is not particularly appealing, as playing for about an hour or two will get you to the daily cap if you mostly win.

However, if you don’t have the time and prefer to redeem everything at once, purchasing the Premium Combat Chest in Marvel Rivals might not seem like a bad deal. To lay it all on the table, here are all the rewards for the Premium Combat Chest, priced at 690 Lattice:
