Elden Ring Nightreign: What Is the Maximum Level and Rune Requirements

There is a lot to accomplish in the limited time of each Elden Ring Nightreign match. Before facing a Nightlord boss, you will have to gather high-level equipment, defeat enemies, and, of course, level up. As you drop onto the Limveld, you will defeat minor enemies and bosses to gather Runes. These Runes can be used at a Site of Grace to level up your character.

Unlike in Elden Ring, you do not choose which stats to boost while leveling up. Instead, the Nightfarer (class) you have chosen will have its own level-up path, with certain stats taking precedence. Therefore, when you choose to level up at a Site of Grace, your stats will increase automatically.

The maximum level your character can reach in Elden Ring Nightreign is level 15. Although this may seem insignificant compared to Elden Ring’s level cap of 713, that is not the case. Nightreign compresses the original game’s immense progression into a 45-minute roguelike run, inevitably scaling up leveling.

Each level that your character gains in Nightreign increases their stats considerably. By the time you reach level 15, the Nightfarer is approaching the power level of an end-game Elden Ring character. As a result, you will want to level up as fast as possible to significantly improve your odds of beating the challenging Nightlord bosses.

Since the stat allotment is predetermined according to which Nightfarer you choose, Nightreign has a strict class system. This is in contrast to Elden Ring’s soft classes, which allow you to level up all attributes equally regardless of your starting class.
