Everything to know about playing the Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign, including its stats, skills and how to use them efficiently in combat.

The Executor is a character that generated a lot of buzz within the community prior to the release of Elden Ring Nightreign. This character excels in the frontlines of combat, specifically in one duel.
This unit seems largely inspired by the combat from another one of FromSoftware’s titles, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which puts a focus on parry over dodging. If you master this character, you will feel untouchable and deal high damage. However, this character has a higher skill ceiling than most other characters in the game. Therefore, you must polish your skills to a certain degree before you can go toe-to-toe against the Nightlords.

Overview of the Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Executor is a great melee character, however, no class is perfect. This will be a very hard starting character for beginners in the game. Mostly, this is because of the high skill ceiling needed to parry various types of attacks consistently. Most of this kit focuses on staying in combat for as long as possible.
The weakest part of its kit will likely be the passive ability, Tenacity. This ability gives you an attack and stamina buff when you recover from a status ailment. There aren’t many times when this skill will be allowed to activate. Although, if you do heal from ailments in the middle of combat, or before it, you can get a decent buff for some time.
Moving on to the main focus of this kit is the Skill, Suncatcher. This skill is what drew the eyes of most players to the Executor, even before the release of the game. After activating this skill, you assume a stance where you can parry most attacks in the game. You can also unleash a unique slash while in this stance. Parrying in this stance charges up this unique slash further.
Finally, the Ultimate Art, Aspects of the Crucible: Beast, transforms you into a creature of destruction. Your moveset changes completely while this Ultimate is ongoing. Moreover, during this form, your health pool will increase massively, so you can attack without worrying about defense.

Tips To Master the Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign

Mastering the Executor will take time and patience. Fortunately, there are some tips which will make it easier for you:
- Using the Ultimate at the right time can be very useful in battle. The Executor transforms into a primordial beast, whose attacks change completely. One of these is a long-range roar attack. You can even use this to revive fallen teammates from a range.
- Practicing the parry timing will be your best investment when using the Executor. You might take a while to get the hang of this mechanic, especially since parrying was not a very prevalent mechanic in the original game. However, you should note that the parry timing is more generous here than in previous games.
- Moreover, when you activate your skill, to draw the cursed blade, pressing it at the right moment also leads to a parry. This is not something the game outright tells you.
- It’s better to try to parry earlier than later. Parrying too late is useless as you will just get hit. Meanwhile, if you parry earlier and hold the guard button you will lose some stamina.
- The S Dexterity scaling means weapons like Katanas will be a stellar fit for the Executor. You can also try to equip weapons which cause build-up of some affliction as well.
