Joining the AI-driven technological race, OnePlus has announced its latest AI-powered tool, AI Plus Mind. This tool is a part of OnePlus’ expanded strategy to integrate artificial intelligence and features that leverage it across its devices.
AI Plus Mind will reportedly debut on the OnePlus 13s in Asia. Furthermore, OnePlus has shared that they have plans to extend the feature to future models in the US and EU markets. The design philosophy behind AI Plus Mind is to help users manage digital information overload. It aims to do so by capturing and organizing essential on-screen content. Essentially, users can save, catalog, and recall information from a dedicated “Mind Space,” using AI Plus Mind. This information includes stuff like schedules, event details, and articles.
On compatible devices, the Alert slider will be replaced by a new customizable hardware button. Users can use this button to avail the features of AI Plus Mind. OnePlus plans to include this button on their models starting from the OnePlus 13s in Asia. However, the current flagship, OnePlus 13, lacks the Plus Key. Instead, users can use a three-finger swipe gesture to capture content before AI-driven analysis categorizes it.
Technical Functionality
On activation, AI Plus Mind thoroughly examines the captured screenshot contextually. The system then proceeds to extract information like schedule details. It will then convert these into actionable items like calendar entries.
Furthermore, users can make sure of an enhanced AI Search component to locate locally stored files, notes, and calendar data via natural language queries. Using this approach, OnePlus intends to streamline the process of managing digital content.
