Since Elden Ring Nightreign launched, many people have requested the ability to start expeditions with duos instead of needing three people.
Since Elden Ring Nightreign is a multiplayer game, you need a squad to run through expeditions. Although random matchmaking does exist, many players do not prefer to use this feature. There are many reasons behind this, which include bad teammates or a lack of communication.
Therefore, a group of two would want to run an expedition by themselves in this spin-off. However, at the moment, this is not possible. You can only take part in an expedition in solo or trios. This had led to some criticism from the community, who wanted to participate in duos. However, this will change in the coming days.

Can You Currently Play Duos in Elden Ring Nightreign
Presently, players can’t start an expedition with just two players in Elden Ring Nightreign. This feature has arrived for PC players in the form of a mod. However, it wasn’t an official feature. Additionally, console players were left stranded as well.
Although this seems to have changed now, as Elden Ring Nightreign is getting duos expeditions along with various other additions sometime in the future, via a recent announcement.

In addition to the DLC releasing later this year, new additions will be gradually implemented, including enhanced fights against existing Nightlords starting this month, as well as Duo Expeditions at a later date.

In a recent announcement, it was made clear that the players’ voices have been heard. Firstly, various updates have been planned for the game, which will be rolled out gradually. These include Duo Expeditions along with enhanced fights against the Nightlords. Moreover, the above announcement came as Elden Ring celebrates crossing 3.5 million copies sold.
These changes will make the game more accessible to groups of two who do not want to run expeditions with a third player. Although it is currently unclear when these changes will arrive.
Elden Ring Nightreign also has a DLC set for the future, which will add more bosses and characters. You can get this DLC by purchasing the Deluxe Edition of the game.
