As you drop into Limveld and open the map, you are treated to a vast landscape dotted with Points of Interest (POIs). With so much to explore and little time on your hands, it can be difficult to determine which location to visit first.

The approaching Night’s Tide makes covering the peripheral POIs a priority before they become inaccessible. This guide highlights the easiest and most lucrative POIs you should start each run with, helping you quickly chart a course even with randomized spawn locations.

The locations listed below are among the best to visit as soon as you start your run in Elden Ring Nightreign. If one isn’t close to you, head to the next one on the list and plan your route around exploring them first and foremost.

1) Great Church

The Great Church is an excellent location to start your run if it is nearby. There are two variants of the Great Church, and each contains an altar, a chest, and an easy boss that drops a Dormant Power.

A Guardian Golem or the Oracle Envoys patrol the first variant of the Great Church. The second variant features catacombs beneath the church, accessible through a hole in the ground. Inside, you will find the boss and a chest. Visit the Great Church once you have farmed basic enemies and reached level 2 for a quick run through it.

2) Fort

If there isn’t a Great Church around to christen your run, the next POI you should be looking for is the fort. The main allure of a fort is the map it contains, which reveals the locations of nearby secrets like scarabs. Killing all four scarabs will reward you with high-tier talismans to boost your Nightfarer considerably for the battles to come. While the fort has more enemies than the Great Church, the bosses that spawn there are similarly easy to beat and drop a Dominant Power. Assault the fort once you have reached level 2 or 3.

3) Evergoal

If you find a Stonesword Key, visiting an Evergoal is immensely rewarding, especially on the first day. Entering an Evergoal on Day 1 will reduce its resident boss’s health by 50%. The Dormant Power you earn from defeating the boss will either grant you a random passive bonus or 10,000 Runes (20,000 Runes on Day 2).

4) Main Encampment

The primary reason to visit the Main Encampment early in your run is to check for the Flame Chariots field boss. If you find one, jump onto its head from behind and attack to land a Critical Strike. A few criticals will defeat the boss, awarding you a ton of Runes and a Dormant Power. Once you have explored all these locations, focus on visiting other POIs to hunt down field bosses and level up as much as possible.
