Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled for June 9-13, 2025. According to multiple industry analysts, this year is likely a “gap year” for major AI announcements. They claim that 2026 is set to be even more exciting than this.

However, there are a few significant developments expected at the conference, including opening on-device foundation models to third-party developers. Introduction of iOS 26/19 (name TBD) and third-party AI integration support. Below are the devices set to receive the new Apple Intelligence features in 2025.

  • Smart Reply: Automatically generates contextual responses in Mail and Messages.

Creative Features

  • Image Playground: Generates images from your written prompts.
  • Genmoji: Generates custom emojis using text prompts or based on people in photos, and recently made it to MacBooks.

  • Clean Up in Photos: Erases unwanted elements from your pictures.

  • Notification Summaries: Displays an AI-generated summary of your notifications.
  • Prioritize Notifications: The system will elevate essential alerts to the top of notification lists.
  • Reduce Interruptions Focus: The system will automatically silence unimportant notifications while allowing critical ones.
