As the days roll by, the once seemingly far-off date for Rematch’s launch now feels just a few inches away. Sloclap has been working hard, taking into consideration all the feedback given by fans and addressing it diligently. The changes were significantly present in the second phase of the beta, and the same level of commitment can be expected during the launch.

In this article, we will take a look at all the striker and dribble updates you can expect in Rematch at launch.

Rainbow Flick Reactivity

Volley prioritization has received a few changes. This will help prevent players from juggling the ball off their head by using a chain combo between the volley and lob push balls. This felt like an unfair advantage. Due to the changes made, the rainbow flick felt less reactive. More changes have since been deployed to balance the ability of the rainbow flick while making it feel good and effective.

Mouse & Keyboard Tap Aiming

The beta build came with some bugs that prevented players from precisely aiming in 360 degrees with the mouse. With no deadzone, tap aiming became even more sensitive and harder to use. These issues have since been corrected with better sensitivity. Mouse aiming will also be improved significantly during the launch. Furthermore, WASD aiming was also made available.

Shoot Mechanics Update

  1. Shot power is no longer influenced by player/ball speed if the shot power is very low.
  2. Short tap (A+X or Cross + Square) dynamic tweaked: same distance before the ball stops, but it reaches that point faster (the ball slows down more at the end).

New Tap Aiming System

The previous system allowed eight directions via WASD; this was changed to mouse aiming to offer more granularity for passes. However, as mentioned above, this system was bugged and overly sensitive. This will be fixed for launch.
