Motormouth Mike is the boss you encounter after entering Mike’s room. However, gaining access to the room is not so simple, as you first need to figure out the entry code. Fighting Motormouth Mike in Chapter 4 of Deltarune
Once you enter the dark room, a series of dialogues will play. After some back-and-forth communication, Motormouth will appear. As you pet him with the extended hand, a battle will begin. This battle features three modes: Applause, Shut Up, and Normal. Here are the rules:
- When it shows “Applause” on the screen, stay up, as many small mics will pass from below.
- When “Shut Up” displays on the screen, stay low to avoid microphones falling from the top.
- During “Normal” mode, you must dodge the incoming microphones.
Afterward, a cat boss will appear. Pet it to trigger the next phase of the fight. Now, multiple cats will emerge, and you will need to pet each of them with your arm to keep progressing. Next, the same volume-based game will return, but this time with cats.
In the next phase, you will face Bigmouth Mike. Here, you must dodge cat paws. To do so, pay attention to the vertical red strip—it indicates the direction a paw will strike from. Paws will also fall from above, which you will need to avoid to advance to the next stage.
In this stage, you need to collect blue kittens in a basket below while simultaneously petting other cats. If done successfully, all three Mikes will merge into one. To conclude the battle, pet the final Mike a few times. This leads to a final series of dialogues where you come across the secret of Mike’s room—that there is no Mike in the room, and each one is simply a figure in charge.
