Tarantula Hawk is one of the pets added to Grow a Garden during the Friendship Update on June 7, 2025. It is part of the ongoing Bizzy Bees event. To that end, its traits also have to do with the mechanics of the event.
This article is a short guide to the Tarantula Hawk and answers the question about how to get it and what it does in your garden.
Tarantula Hawk Pet: Traits
The developer has added several Bizzy Bee-themed pets that help pollinate plants in your garden. The Pollinated mutation is an essential component in getting honey, and these pets are therefore quite important.
The Tarantula Hawk pet has two separate traits:
- Pollination: It goes to a random crop in your garden and pollinates a fruit every 25 minutes.
- Sting: It stings one of the other pets every five minutes. Each sting reduces that pet’s ability cooldown by 80 seconds.
The two-fold trait makes the pet quite more valuable than some of the previously added pets. The Bee and the Honey Bee, for example, can only pollinate fruits and not shorten cooldowns.
How To Obtain the Pet
You can get the pet by hatching Anti Bee Eggs. There is a 30% chance it will be a Tarantula Hawk per egg hatch. This is a new egg that was added to Grow a Garden with the Friendship Update. You can get the Anti Bee Egg by:
- Buying it from the shop with Robux.
- Or by completing the Bizzy Bear quests.
The Bizzy Bear questline offers different bee-themed rewards. The Anti Bee Egg is a reward for completing recipes numbered 5, 13, 22, and 29. Here is a list of the recipes and the ingredients required to get them.

The quests reset after recipe 30. Thus, allowing players to keep completing them for more eggs and other items.
