Naveen Chopra is the new CFO of Roblox Corporation. The gaming giant announced the news in a press release on June 9, 2025. Chopra is set to take over as the Chief Financial Officer of the company from June 30, with the current CFO, Michael Guthrie, standing down on the very same date. The press release also notes that Michael Guthrie, who joined Roblox in 2018, will remain as a consultant to assist with the transition.

Naveen Chopra has a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Economics from Stanford. He also did his Master’s in Business Administration from the University. The announcement also praises Naveen Chopra’s career history, noting how his experience at Paramount, Amazon, Pandora, and TiVo will be “instrumental in Roblox’s ongoing expansion.” The press release highlights his involvement as a key force behind Paramount’s transition into streaming during his tenure as CFO at the company. A component that reportedly comprises 25% of Paramount’s revenue stream.

His time as the CFO of Amazon’s Devices and Services has also been lauded in the press release, notably his handling of monetizing Alexa, Kindle, and other products. Roblox’s CEO, David Baszuck, called him “an ideal leader” who has “invaluable financial and strategic acumen to foster Roblox’s growth”.

Navenn Chopra had much to say about the gaming platform. In his message included in the press release, Chopra noted that Roblox has big potential with its “vibrant community” that connects a “scaled global audience” and how thrilled he was to be joining the corporation as the new CFO.

He also stated that he would be working to not only increase the value of the company for the stakeholders but also to foster a safe and “civil environment” for the users from around the world. The platform recently broke its previous records after surpassing 21 million concurrent users on June 7.
