Uncover the details of The Hatch Drama with KreekCraft’s call to ban Teddy from Roblox due to community concerns.

Roblox is facing a lot of scrutiny after Teddy, aka @OfficialTeddy, was included in The Hatch. Teddy is known in the community for creating Roblox condos and games that have been described as dating sims, which is against the platform’s Terms of Service (TOS).
His inclusion in the upcoming egg hunt-inspired event has caused widespread outcry from fans, with #BoycottTheHatch trending on websites like X. Popular Roblox YouTuber KreekCraft has directly called on the company to ban Teddy.
In a post on June 17, 2025, KreekCraft listed some things Roblox should do to address the backlash and “fix” the event. He wrote:
“Roblox here’s how you can fix this:
- Ban Teddy
- Delay the event
- Make another one of these
(or remove the stupid UGC restrictions and we’ll make it ourselves)”

Who Is Teddy? KreekCraft Claims Roblox Is out of Touch for Including Controversial Developer in the Hatch
As mentioned, @OfficialTeddy is a controversial developer on Roblox. KreekCraft uploaded a video on X addressing the backlash against The Hatch for including Teddy. In the video, he states:
“So, for context, Roblox is putting 1,000 games in the event. And one of the games in the event is by this guy named OfficialTeddy. Who is a guy, if you don’t know, who makes borderline Roblox condo games. Pretty much like online dating games on Roblox. If you go to any of his games and look at the thumbnail, some of the thumbnails literally have people in bed. It’s bad, dude.”
KreekCraft noted how Roblox has banned Teddy in the past, but it has always been temporary:
“Roblox has banned him two times. And then they unban him, and I don’t know why? He has got so many different online dating games, he constantly violates the TOS, and he keeps getting unbanned. And now he is in the event.”
The YouTuber called out the gaming company for not having good moderation on the platform and continued criticizing them:
“Do I think that Roblox intentionally added him to the event? Probably not. What they probably did was they were like, ‘Hey, we are going to select the top 1,000 games. We are going to invite them to the event, and if they say yes, great.’ That’s probably how it went. Unfortunately, Roblox is now finding out that-
- Their moderation isn’t really the greatest.
- If you don’t run quality checks on all of the people you invite to the event, you run into a situation like this, right?
A situation where, when I woke up, BoycottTheHatch was trending. It might still be trending.”

He went on to claim that Roblox was out of touch with the community for including Teddy in The Hatch:
“This is another situation where Roblox is out of touch with the community. If they knew anything about this guy, which, if you are active in the Roblox community, you would know about this guy. Because he is pretty famous, I should say, in the community, for doing bad stuff. This would have never happened.”
Developers Pull Out of The Hatch Amid Teddy Controversy
#DoorsDevlog We decided to opt DOORS out of The Hatch.

I really don't agree with how they're running this event. Honestly it was a bit tough coming up with something fun for it and we didn't want to disappoint you guys. As you probably saw, the rules and general premise for this…
The discontent in the community over Teddy’s inclusion in The Hatch has been growing. On top of fans calling out Roblox, many developers have been pulling out of the upcoming event in protest. The developer of Doors has called out Roblox for their handling of The Hatch and announced that the game would not be part of the event anymore.
The developer claimed that the rules surrounding the upcoming event are very restrictive. According to the developer, an algorithm is supposedly responsible for selecting which experiences would be part of The Hatch, and this has allowed “bad actors” to participate in the event. A relevant section of the announcement reads:
“Developers were (presumably) randomly selected through an algorithm, which resulted in bad actors participating in the event when they shouldn’t even be allowed on the platform to begin with.”
Many other developers have also reportedly pulled out of The Hatch. Here is a list of the Roblox experiences that have tentatively withdrawn from the event:
- DOORS
- 3008
- LOCOfficial
- Untitled Tag Game
- Piggy
- Pressure
