FBC Firebreak marks the first time Remedy Entertainment has developed a multiplayer game. The game is set in the Remedy universe but follows the events of Control. It takes place in the Federal Bureau of Control, where a team is dealing with an assault on the agency.

With so much emphasis on the game’s multiplayer nature and many discussions surrounding its PvE elements, you, as a solo player, may be discouraged from trying the game out. It may also be disappointing if you were a big fan of Control and wanted to see more of that unique setting in Firebreak. If that’s the case, you don’t have to worry, since you can play FBC Firebreak solo.

While the game does let you play solo, it is important to note that it has been balanced around the co-op PvE experience. The game accounts for you playing solo by cutting down on the number of enemies you face, balancing the experience, and making it easier.

The objectives in your missions, however, have been designed with three players in mind. Doing all the objectives solo will take much more effort and a greater amount of time. Keep this in mind when pursuing the game solo.

If you wish to play FBC Firebreak solo but don’t know how to, you’ve come to the right place. The game has a setting you need to tweak to play solo. In this guide, we will go over how to play FBC Firebreak solo.

  1. Access the Socials menu by pressing the “Tab” key. Here, select the option to “Create Party.”
  2. The game will then create a party and take you back to the main menu.
  3. We want to create a party, but we want to be the solo player in it. If you queue now, the game will match you with other players. So, go back to the Socials menu and disable the “Public Matchmaking” option. This will enable your party to be solo, letting you play the game alone.
