Helldivers 2: How To Get Protector of Heart Cape

The Helldivers have fended off the Illuminates, and you get the Protector of Heart cape as a medal for your efforts.

If you logged into Helldivers 2 at any point in the last two months, you would’ve noticed that Super Earth was under attack by the Illuminates. The alien race had targeted cities on the Heart of Democracy, laying siege and kicking off the “Battle of Super Earth” event.

The players of Helldivers 2 worldwide collaborated and fought off the siege, freeing Super Earth from the alien captors. Now, to commemorate this victory against the Illuminates, developer Arrowhead Studios is giving away a free Protector of Heart cape for participants who fought off the alien invasion. 

If you participated in the fight for the Heart of Democracy in the “Battle for Super Earth” event and wish to reap its rewards, the cape is for you. This guide will explain how to get the Protector of Heart cape in Helldivers 2.

How To Get the Protector of Heart Cape in Helldivers 2

As stated earlier, the Protector of Heart cape is meant to commemorate the Helldivers’ valiant efforts against the Illuminates on Super Earth. Therefore, only those who took part in the fight for Super Earth between May 13 and June 2 will get the cape. 

The Protector of Heart cape will be automatically reflected in the accounts of all eligible Helldivers 2 players. The developer has stated that for some accounts, the cape may take longer to show up. So if you can’t find your cape yet, be patient, as it will show up soon. 

You can equip the Protector of Heart cape by visiting the Armory on your ship. Interact with the Armory to bring up a menu. Click on the Armory tab in the top left corner of your screen. Here, you will find your character’s individual armor parts. Visit the cape section to equip your Protector of Heart cape.
