Find out what gameplay modifiers each of the corrupted items in FBC Firebreak adds to your jobs. Some of them could be helpful to you.

Corrupted items in FBC Firebreak can make your matches unpredictable by adding a wide range of game modifiers. They can affect both you and enemies in ways that are difficult to comprehend. A purple optional objective marker appearing on a Job indicates the presence of a corrupted item. These items may be stationary, or they may move around the entire map.
Either way, if you want the effects of such items to stop, you will need to destroy the corrupted item that appears in a zone. But not all of the corruption effects are terrible. Some may even be beneficial to you.
To determine whether you should or should not neutralize one of these, you will have to understand what each corrupted item in FBC Firebreak does. In this guide, we will take a look at the different corrupted items and the effects they create during a match.
List of Corrupted Items in FBC Firebreak

We have discovered 11 different corrupted items so far. There could be more, so treat this list as a work in progress. Each of them has a different effect. Refer to the table below to understand what effect each one has on a match or Job.
Corrupted Item Name | Effect |
Crowbar | This item will sabotage machinery and mechanical products. While active, you might break an item right after repairing it. |
Table Saw | The resonance shields for your entire squad will get disabled, making higher difficulty Jobs that much harder. |
Rumen Lantern | This corruption will affect all light sources, so your flashlights will malfunction. However, you will have a faint glow from the lanterns to lead your way. |
Snare Drum | The corruption will increase the movement and attack speed of all enemies on the map. |
Jasper Post Box | Everything within the Job area will slowly build up the cold condition, including enemies. You can use it to your advantage if you’re strategic. |
Wolff Globe | Lowers the gravity in the zone. While largely an annoyance, this effect can be helpful in certain maps, such as during the final points of the Hot Fix Job. |
Stapler | Increases the HP of all enemies. |
Gas Cylinder | All corpses in the zone will explode. Enemy corpses that explode can damage both your team and the enemies near them. So, it’s a double-edged sword that can definitely be beneficial to you. |
Pickaxe | Rock masses will appear inside the zone, and these will rumble down over you, which can cause damage. |
Red Light | Movement becomes regulated, and if you stand inside the red light while it begins glowing, you will start to take damage. |
Riot Helmet | The armor rating for all enemies increases. |
