The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered has many different quests. In some of them, players must make decisions or choose between two different options to progress. Most of the time, these choices also affect the storyline’s outcome or the rewards they receive at the end. Two Sides of a Coin follows a similar structure. During this quest, the game places you in a moral dilemma, which can be confusing. So, to help you out, here’s the complete walkthrough of the mission.

How To Complete Two Sides of a Coin Quest in Oblivion Remastered

To start the Two Sides of a Coin quest, you first need to ask around Bruma for rumors. You can do this by interacting with NPCs and selecting the rumors dialogue option. Eventually, you will hear about Arnora and Jorundr. They used to be a happy couple before Jorundr robbed a bank and hid all the gold from his partner. After that, the guards caught him.

To reveal more information about the situation, you need to speak to Arnora. She lives in a house in the southern part of Bruma, near Jearl’s residence. At first, Arnora will refuse to talk to you, but you can persuade her into a conversation. She will then tell you that she and Jorundr used to be partners in robberies, but Jorundr killed a guard and got caught.

Now, your main task will be to discover the location of the hidden gold by speaking to Jorundr. She will also mention that convincing Jorundr won’t be easy, but if you succeed, she will share half of the spoils with you.

Find Jorundr in the Bruma Dungeon

Jorundr is located in the Bruma Dungeon. To find it, go to Bruma Castle and take the door to the right to enter the barracks. Inside, you will find another door that leads to the dungeon.

After entering, take the path on the right, which leads to the jailor sitting at a desk. Tell him that you wish to see Jorundr, and he will take you to him. Once there, you can ask Jorundr about the gold. However, he won’t tell you anything and will mention that a guard named Tyrellius has also tried. To earn Jorundr’s trust, you need to become a prisoner yourself. To do that, either hit the jailor or commit a crime in Bruma.

Learn About the Hidden Stash Location

After you wake up in your prison cell, you will see Tyrellius trying to uncover the location of the hidden gold, with Jorundr refusing to tell him anything. When you speak to Jorundr again, he will reveal that it was Arnora who killed the guard, not him. You will also learn that she revealed the location of their hidden campsite to the guards, but Jorundr hid the gold before that incident.

Jorundr will then ask you to kill Arnora and bring her amulet to him. As a reward, you can take everything from his hidden stash. After that, complete your sentence to get out of jail. Then, go back to Arnora and tell her what happened. She will suggest that instead of killing her, you can take her real amulet and show it to Jorundr. That way, he will surely reveal the location of the gold.

Killing Arnora and Taking the Amulet

If you still wish to kill Arnora despite the peace offering, you can do so. Afterward, collect the amulet from her corpse. However, when you show it to Jorundr, he will reveal that you have been deceived and that it is not her real amulet. To find the real one, look in the chest near Arnora’s bed. Use the key from her body to open it. Once you show the real amulet to Jorundr, he will tell you that the hidden stash is located near the North Gate.

Then, simply go to the location and collect everything in the stash to complete the Two Sides of a Coin quest in Oblivion Remastered.

Accepting Arnora’s Offer and Tricking Jorundr

If you do not want to kill Arnora and instead accept her offer, she will hand you the key to the chest herself. You can then open the chest, take the real amulet, and show it to Jorundr back in the Bruma Dungeon. As in the previous method, Jorundr will then give you the location of the hidden stash. It will be in the same place—outside Bruma, near the North Gate.

However, once you reach the location, you will be confronted by Tyrellius. He will reveal that he overheard your previous conversation and has killed Arnora to take everything for himself. You must engage Tyrellius in battle and kill him. After that, you can loot his armor and weapons, and then collect your reward from the stash.

Once you are done, visit Arnora’s house to confirm Tyrellius’s claim of killing her. Inside, you will find Arnora’s corpse, marking the end of the Two Sides of a Coin quest in Oblivion Remastered.
