Death Stranding 2: How Long To Beat

Death Stranding 2 is a story-driven game where you will be tasked to continue Sam’s story. This time, the task is to connect the entirety of Mexico and Australia to the chiral network. There are plenty of old familiar faces from the first title, like Fragile, Deadman, Higgs, and Lou. New arrivals to the star-studded cast include Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, Luca Marinelli, Alastair Duncan, Alissa Jung, and Debra Wilson. 

How Long Is Death Stranding 2?

Death Stranding 2’s main story will take about 35 to 40 hours to complete, of course, depending on the difficulty level you choose to play in. A more rounded approach with the main story and side missions will be around a 60-hour-long playthrough. A completionist run will be roughly 110 hours by our estimate. We will update the numbers if needed as more players complete the game in different styles.

You can significantly cut down this time if you choose to skip the cutscenes and avoid checking out all the dialogue branches available in Death Stranding 2. This is not advised for your first playthrough, as you will miss out on the DS2 experience that Kojima Productions has prepared for you. Given its story-intensive nature, you should also play Death Stranding 1 before diving into the sequel.
