Rematch is the new hot multiplayer game in town. Players are hopping in from all around the world and teaming up to rise through the ranks and divisions to determine the best. Multiplayer is one of the core fundamentals of the game and a major reason behind its popularity. But what about playing with your friends in the same room on the same console?
Does Rematch have the option to play co-op with your friends in a split screen setting? The answer to this question is, unfortunately, no. In this article, we will be talking about whether Rematch would officially bring split screen to the game.
Would Split Screen Be Available for Rematch in the Future?
You will not be able to play the game in a co-op setting with your friends. This game is persistent with its multiplayer functionality and focuses on enriching that experience to its fullest capabilities. While no concrete answers were given in regard to the unavailability of split screen, a certain insight was given on their FAQ page, under the Game section.
They mentioned how Rematch is primarily an online multiplayer game, but some offline modes have been provided for when you wish to disconnect. Sloclap never gave any hints for the same, be it in their trailers, articles, or website. It seems like there were never any plans to begin with to add this feature.
To an extent, this decision makes sense, as this game requires a better overview of the entire field. By adding split screen, the view of the field is cut in half, and making sense of the game in play will get even trickier. While split screen may not be of much importance, Sloclap is working hard on integrating cross-play for you and your friends to game across various platforms.
