Explore the new Summer Eggs in Grow a Garden. Discover how to get the Common and Rare Summer Eggs and their unique pets.
The new Grow a Garden update has introduced many new things to the game, including the Common Summer Egg and the Rare Summer Egg. Each brings new pets to the game with unique traits that boost your gardening abilities in different ways. Combined, you can hatch eight new pets from the two eggs.
This is a guide to obtaining the Common and Rare Summer Eggs. We will discuss the hatch chance of every pet, along with an explanation of all traits.
Grow a Garden Summer Eggs Guide
Common Summer Egg: How To Obtain
You can obtain it only if it appears in the Pet Egg Shop on the map. Follow these steps:
- Walk to the Pet Egg Shop located one end of the Grow a Garden map.
- Buy the egg for 1,000,000 Sheckles or 29 Robux if it is in stock. There is a 35% chance it will be.
- If it is not in stock, recheck later. The shop restocks every 30 minutes.
Common Summer Egg: Pet Hatch Chance and Traits

| Starfish | 50% | Gains XP (6-7) every second it is equipped. |
| Seagull | 25% | Chance to drop the seed of a plant you shovel. |

Rare Summer Egg: How To Obtain
There are two ways to get your hands on the egg.
- The Pet Egg shop has a 17% chance of having it in stock. Buy it for 25,000,000 Sheckles or 99 Robux.
- Receive it as part of the Summer Harvest Event reward. Here is how:
- Have 8,000 Points accumulated by donating Summer Fruits during the hourly event.
- There is a 6% chance of getting the egg this way.
Rare Summer Egg: Pet Hatch Chance and Traits

| Flamingo | 30% | Every four minutes stands on its legs. Plants within a radius grow 15% faster for 15 seconds. |
| Toucan | 25% | Tropical Plants within a radius have a higher size and variant chance. |
| Sea Turtle | 20% | Every 10 minutes, another random pet gains 1,000 Experience. Every 118 seconds, it splashes water, and nearby plants have a 10% chance of gaining the Wet mutation. |
| Orangutan | 15% | Crafting materials have a chance to not get consumed. |
| Seal | 10% | Selling pets has a 2% chance of refunding the pet to your inventory as its egg equivalent. |
