Death Stranding 2: How To Check Story So Far

Death Stranding 2 has added the Story So Far mechanic — an option to check how far the mainline story has progressed. This is a helpful tool to quickly jog players’ memories, especially for those whose gameplay sessions have gaps in between. 

Much like its predecessor, DS2 has a convoluted story, with a lot of intriguing and nuanced characters (it is from Hideo Kojima, after all). A tool-like Story So Far lets you keep a tab on what you have already accomplished and go back to check if you have forgotten a beat. 

Death Stranding 2: Story So Far Mechanic Explained

The Story So Far Mechanic is available in the Corpus in the Ring Terminal in Death Stranding 2. The steps to check it are: 

• Press Options button on the controller to open the Ring Terminal.
• Press left on D-pad to open the Ring Menu.
• Scroll to Corpus.
• You will notice the Story So Far section under Story.

The Story So Far section in Death Stranding 2 gives you a quick rundown on the broad strokes of the mainline story you have already completed. In the associated image, you will notice the gist of what has already happened, like living off the grid, being tasked with bringing the Research Lab online, Journey to Australia, etc. The Story So Far section is followed by all of Sam’s orders to date that you have done, providing you with a quick rundown of everything you have done in-game till now.

The Corpus also provides information on people and various terminologies and tips to have an easier time in-game. For a game as dense and rich as Death Stranding 2, the Corpus will come quite handy for any player who wants to immerse themselves in the proceedings.
