PEAK is a climbing game that requires you to scale new heights during several expeditions. When you are on your way to scale mountains, sudden problems, challenges, and encounters are bound to happen. One such problem that players could encounter while climbing the PEAK is the attachment of the Tick. It is a blood-sucking animal whose poison requires an antidote to become normal.

Here is a detailed article that contains everything you need to know about removing the tick in multiplayer and solo expeditions.

When you are on an expedition with your friends, you can easily get to know if a Tick is attached to you. It is so because the other person accompanying you gets a better view of your legs than you do. Therefore, removing the tick becomes easier during a multiplayer expedition.

Once you know about the Tick, the best way out is to let your friends help you remove it. To do so, tell them to come closer to the tick and press E. Additionally, in adverse situations where Tick is sucking the blood of your friend, remove it to help your friend.

Removing the Tick During a Solo Expedition

As the game does not essentially require the company of others, you may undergo an expedition alone. In those circumstances, if somehow a Tick gets attached to your leg, removing it will be a challenging task. This is because, at first, you might not even realize a Tick is latched on until the poison damage starts to take effect.

Once the infection is severe and even the Tick has increased in size, you can easily bend over and press E to remove it. Additionally, if you are unable to confirm whether you have been attacked by a Tick or not, try jumping from a low-height place. That way, you get to see yourself in a better way during a landing cutscene.

Should You Throw the Removed Tick?

As the Tick was a reason for the trouble, you would like to throw the blood-sucking monster off the hill. However, it is best if you hold it to fulfil the following objectives:

  • Fulfil Hunger: As PEAK is a climbing game, there are obvious reasons that you might arrive at such places where you do not get a further food supply. In those cases, you can eat the saved Tick to suppress the hunger.
  • Save it for earning a badge: You will encounter several locked badges in PEAK. One such badge is the Foraging Badge, which requires you to eat five different kinds of berries. As the game counts Tick as a berry, you can have the supply for a berry by saving the Tick for future use.

That was all about removing the Tick in PEAK.
