Squawkabilly ex is a great card to play on turn 1. Not only can it get rid of an underwhelming hand for a better one, but Basic Psychic Energy discarded this way can be used by Mewtwo ex’s first move, Transfer Charge, and be re-attached to your other Pokemon in play.
Best Iron Valiant Ex Deck in Pokemon TCG: Key Cards
Here’s the strategy for this deck:
- Iron Valiant Ex switches in to use its ability, Tachyon Bits, to deal chip damage to any of the opponent’s Pokemon before attacking with Laser Blade. Attach a Future Booster Energy Capsule to give it no Retreat Cost so that it can repeat this tactic over and over.
- Xatu should be on the Bench using its ability, Clairvoyant Sense, to act as a draw engine and energy accelerator at the same time.
- Mewtwo Ex is the secondary attacker, attacking when Iron Valiant Ex cannot. Its first move, Transfer Charge, lets it act as an Energy accelerator for its teammates. This, in turn, powers up its other move, Photon Kinesis, which becomes more powerful the more Basic Psychic Energy is attached to all of your Pokemon.
