Everything you need to know about Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2’s Deluxe Edition, including its contents, and whether it’s worth buying or not.

Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 was easily one of the best first-party releases from Xbox Game Studios last year. Although the game was criticised by fans for its lack of gameplay innovations and brief runtime, it was still among the best releases of 2024. The game perfectly recreated the magic of the original title, while also giving players a deeper insight into protagonist Senua’s story. The sequel kept everything that worked in the previous title and delivered a more personal and visceral narrative. Apart from the game’s narrative, the visuals too got a major overhaul in Hellblade 2. Instead of UE4, developer Ninja Theory opted to use Unreal Engine 5 for Hellblade 2.
As a result, Hellblade 2 was able to deliver what is easily the most graphically impressive experience on Xbox consoles to date. And now with the recent announcement of the Enhanced Edition, Hellblade 2 is finally making its way to PS5. Here’s a brief look at Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2’s PS5 version, its various editions, and whether the more expensive Deluxe Edition is worth buying or not.

The Deluxe Edition of Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is priced at $70. The pricing is quite surprising considering most Triple-A releases nowadays cost $70 just for the Standard Edition. In fact, Xbox Game Studio’s upcoming action RPG, The Outer Worlds 2, is priced at $80. However, considering the scale and scope of Hellblade 2, the pricing seems appropriate.
Also, for those who are curious, the Standard Edition costs $50, the same as the original Xbox and PC release. That being said, unless you’re someone who has not played the original Hellblade yet, the Deluxe Edition isn’t worth it. Essentially, the Deluxe Edition for Hellblade 2 comes bundled with the original game and the soundtrack.
If you have already played Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, there’s no reason to spend $20 extra for the Deluxe Edition. In fact, you can even save some money by getting the original Hellblade at a discount during sales.
What Is Included in Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 Deluxe Edition?

Here’s a breakdown of the different editions of Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2:
Standard Edition ($49.99)
- Base game
Deluxe Edition ($69.99)
- Base game
- Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice (Enhanced Edition)
- Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 digital soundtrack (pre-order bonus)
It should be noted that Hellblade 2’s soundtrack is only available as part of Deluxe Edition’s pre-order bonus. If you pre-order the Standard Edition on PS5, you won’t get access to the soundtrack. However, the soundtrack will likely be made available as a post-launch DLC. As such, you aren’t missing out on much by sticking with the Standard Edition.
