We will be discussing all the new clutch time feature updates in Rematch and how they impact the last moments of your game.

Sometimes, the competition can get intense, with either side scoring many goals or no goals at all. The teams are equally balanced, with neither showing any signs of quitting. As per the rules of Rematch, depending on various factors and the difference in the goal, different scenarios play out. You will either be sent to overtime or be subject to the clutch time clauses.
In this article, we will look at all the clutch time feature updates in Rematch.
Clutch Time in Rematch

The moment the timer touches zero, with the scoreboard being a draw, the game is taken straight to overtime. This completely overrides the clutch time feature from taking place. If, however, the scores are different at the end of the timer, two of these outcomes can be expected.
Last Action
The last action feature allows the team with possession of the ball to keep playing until and unless they lose the ball. This kicks in when there is only a single goal difference between the teams, and the losing team has the ball in their possession. During this phase, the losing team can play until either of the conditions is met.
- The opposition touches the ball through any means, including a defensive mode, an outfield dive, or a tackle.
- The direction of the ball that the team hits does not fly towards the goal.
There is also a time limit for the mode, which ends in 60 seconds if the conditions above are not met. This gives the losing team a fighting chance, given they keep the ball with them and possibly score a goal. If they are successful, the game will then be taken to overtime.
Last Shot
At the time of writing, there is a bug that disturbs the effects of the last shot in Rematch. Due to this, a ball that is clearly hit toward the goalpost fails to register as a valid goal. The reason, as stated by Sloclap, is due to heavy server lag declaring the end of the match.
This phase also activates when the timer hits zero, and the winning team is leading by a point while possessing the ball. It will also activate if the winning team is leading by two points or above, with either team having possession. The Last Shot phase will last till either of these conditions is met.
- The Team with the ball loses possession of the ball.
- The last shot made does not lead to a goal.
- The player either kicks, pushes, or shoots the ball, with his teammate interacting with the ball. (Not an official pass)
- The player passes the ball, and no teammate interacts with the ball within 2 seconds.
Sloclap states that the ‘Last Shot’ has a lot of room for improvement, with several ideas at bay to make it more engaging and interactive. These will be seen in some future updates.
