Can players play as Knull, the Symbiote god, in Marvel Rivals Season 3 The Abyss Awakens, to obliterate the enemies?

Knull is the main villain for Marvel Rivals Season 3 The Abyss Awakens. He was first mentioned in the game in Season 0 through Venom’s voice lines, warning us about his malicious intent. Not to forget that Klyntar, the home planet of the Symbiotes in the Marvel Universe, is also where Knull is held captive by his followers. On the Convergence map of Klyntar, you are supposed to deliver Knull’s essence to the endpoint. Little did our heroes know that it would give rise to one of the primal forces of the universe.
Now that he is out to spread his tyranny, can players aid him in his crusade against light and benevolence? The short answer to this question is no. The developers have given no such indication about Knull’s addition to the roster just yet.
Why Isn’t Knull Playable in Marvel Rivals Season 3?

Season 3 will introduce Phoenix as a playable character to stop the King and Queen in Black. In Season 3.5, players will finally get to play as Blade. Together, along with the help of the rest of the hero roster, they will put a stop to Knull’s malicious intent. The schedule of Season 3 doesn’t have enough space for Knull’s release.
All seasons starting with The Abyss Awakens will now be two months long. This means that we will get one hero each month, as that’s when the mid-season update will arrive. So, unfortunately for Symbiote fans, we are not getting Knull as a playable hero in Season 3. However, he does have a leaked in-game model.
Knull’s Future in Marvel Rivals
Having an in-game model means that we might see Knull in a PvE boss fight mode or as a playable character in a future season. We suggest taking this speculation with a grain of salt because there is no official confirmation or any trustworthy leaks confirming the same. One of the problems with him being a playable hero is that Marvel hasn’t yet clarified whether Knull is a multiversal being or has different variants. If the latter is true, he can show up on the roster at some point.
On the contrary, if there is only one Knull across the Marvel multiverse, he is less likely to become playable in Marvel Rivals because all of his experiences in the game will be considered canon across the entirety of the multiverse.
