Monster Hunter Wilds is offering a special armor set that’s designed based on Gemma’s jacket, dubbed the Hawkheart Jacket Set. This comes with all of the changes introduced through Title Update 2 of the game. If you want to grab this set ASAP, there’s a particular optional quest you need to complete. In the following article, we take a look at how you can grab the Hawkheart Jacket Set in Monster Hunter Wilds and wear it as layered armor.
How To Get the Hawkheart Jacket Set in Monster Hunter Wilds
Crafting the Armor Pieces for Gemma
Once you’ve installed Title Update 2 for the game, proceed to speak with Gemma. She will have a brand-new side quest for you to complete, dubbed New Fashion, Old Feelings. In the quest, Gemma will ask for your help to bring one of her fashion ideas to life. For that, you’ll have to craft the following armor pieces:
- Hope Mail Alpha
- Bulaqchi Specs Alpha or Beta
- Chatacabra Coil Alpha or Beta
- Clerk Vambraces Alpha
- Piragill Greaves Alpha or Beta
Keep in mind that you’ll need to specifically craft the male or female variants of some of these pieces to complete the quest. An orange diamond next to a piece while crafting indicates it’s a female set. On the other hand, a green circle indicates a male set. If you already have one or more of these armor pieces when the quest begins, you don’t need to craft them again.
Equipping the Pieces as Layered Armor
After gathering all of the required pieces, you’ll need to put them on as layered armor. To do this, simply follow the steps mentioned below:
- Step 1: Go to any of the tents in the game’s Camps.
- Step 2: Navigate to the Appearance Menu.
- Step 3: Choose the Equipment Appearance option
From this menu, you can equip and unequip layered armor on your character. Make sure you equip only the pieces that Gemma asks you to craft. Once that is complete, a cutscene will begin where you’ll participate in a fashion show. Gemma will then reward you with the Hawkheart Jacket piece, both in male and female variants.

How To Use the Hawkheart Jacket Set in Monster Hunter Wilds
You can immediately head to a tent and equip this set as layered armor. It has 4x Constitution and 2x Quick Sheathe. This can be a great starter option for those trying a new build with the Seregios armor options. However, keep in mind that the Hawkheart Jacket only has one slot for a Level 1 decoration. This could be a limiting factor if you have build-crafting options in mind.
