Before The Edge of Fate expansion arrives on July 15, the developers are giving players a unique opportunity to grab lots of loot in just a short span.

What Is Lootapalooza in Destiny 2?
Lootapalooza is a short period during which you’ll earn currency and weapon drops at a much faster rate than normal. This isn’t the first time that Bungie has hosted such an event. In fact, they are quite common just a week prior to the release of any of the major updates for the game. The latest one is taking place during the closing days of Episode 3: Heresy.
With this effect active, you can expect to find more weapons and currency dropping from normal enemies. All three dungeons in the game will have active reward bonuses. After you complete the encounters, the final chest will drop even more loot for you to pick up. Keep in mind that you can access the chest after you’ve defeated the final boss after getting through all of the encounters. This is a perfect opportunity for Guardians to find and collect Adepts and Holofoils, which are invaluable in preparing for the upcoming expansion.
Lootapalooza Start and End Dates
Lootapalooza will begin on July 8, 2025, and the event will last a week. It will end on July 15, 2025, when The Edge of Fate expansion finally lands. The new expansion will see players explore a new location, dubbed Kelper. With a fresh new campaign to play through, you’ll need all the currency and loot you can get your hands on. And that’s exactly what the Lootapalooza event offers. So, don’t miss out on it.
