The Candy Mutation is live in Steal a Brainrot with Update 6. Released on July 5, 2025, it was a major patch introducing six new Brainrots, two new traits, and events. That said, the definite highlight of the update is the new Candy Mutation. It is the fifth mutation in the game and completely changes the appearance of Brainrots to a shining pink.

How To Obtain
To obtain a Brainrot with the Candy Mutation, you will have to wait for the Candy Aurora event. This is an in-game event triggered every three hours. The whole sky turns a pinkish hue during the event. The entrance from where the units enter the runway also starts shining pink. This signals an increased chance for Brainrots to have the mutation. Once a Candy Brainrot appears on the runway, you can go up and buy it with in-game cash. It costs the same as the base variant but will have boosted income.
The Candy Aurora event is one of the only ways to acquire units with the mutation without spending Robux. You can track when the next event will trigger by walking up to the Candy Shop at the center of the map. It will have a timer counting down to the next Candy Aurora. The shop becomes accessible only during the event. You can buy items such as Candy Coil and Candy Slap here.
Players also stand a chance to acquire a Candy Mutation Brainrot by doing the Candy Spins at the wheel. As of writing this, you have the chance to win a Candy Tralalero Tralala Brainrot God if you spin. Spins can be bought with Robux. Players get a free spin during the Candy Aurora event.

As mentioned, the Candy Mutation changes the appearance of Brainrots to pink. But that is not all. All units with the Candy Mutation get 4x income generation compared to their base variant. For example, the Tralalero Tralala Brainrot God unit has a 50K/second cash production rate. However, the Candy Tralalero Tralala has a 200K/second cash production rate.
